Marc Stones Autumn/Winter 2014/15 collection rises from the remains of the past and observes the world in a much larger scale. The collection is divided into three parts, which represent different scales and interpretations of the same image: hector, kilo and myria.
The fabrics are cotton, wool and waxed cotton. Being mostly different they balance out the relation between hard structures and very soft ones – high-tech meets nature. Deep Raven, Black and Frost Gray are blended with galvanizing shades of Blue from a peacockish tone to Mint.
In a first global overview the prints are fussy, the lines not very defined and the shapes quite organic, representing the larger scale of observation which doesn’t distinguish one world than the other. As the scale decreases the lines become sharper, revealing the colours and the structures inherent to each of them.
